I was hired by the Department of Natural Resources in Montana to photograph a poster for their 2008 campaign to prevent forest fires . It was really Steve Robertson, a great guy, who hired me. He runs the Ad Agency Full Moon Concepts in Missoula.
I don't want to give away all my secrets but the image was shot in one afternoon in Helena. I shot it from a cherry picker about 30 feet off the ground and directed the helicopters and firefighters. I may contact some photo mags and see if they are interested in buying the story...I will keep you posted.
